Maps and Geo-Services

The role of maps and geo-tracking is so important in our everyday life: the closest shops, fastest routes, places of interest. To make life easier, programs and algorithms are willing to know everything about real world structures, about road graphs, about places you've been to. Every trending domain now relies on maps: autonomous vehicles, drones of any kind, and general logistics

You are not a real-world actor, unless you take that map data into account and start providing services on top of this, and here is what we can help you with:
Building the maps
Data is at the heart of all mapping challenges. Simlabs has deep and broad experience of building custom maps, geo-indexing the data and mass-requests. It does not matter if it is small-scale or large-scale maps, custom or enterprise solutions, standalone or web-based. We started with custom WMS-solutions, but have recently moved completely to vector-tiles and open-source frameworks, so we have proven valuable experience for every step in the pipeline.
Displaying the maps
It doesn't matter what you want to do with your map: show it in a common planar way, show the buildings, or generate the terrain and vegetations and bushes — we've got you covered! We can build a custom pipeline, or we can use #mapbox, #leaflet and other industry open-source solutions, it all depends on your needs. We were generating landscapes based on coastlines and aerial images even before google maps was launched, so we do really know something about maps.
Routing and using the maps
It's not actually about the maps themselves — it's about what we can do on top of them. Search for the closest path, estimate time of arrival, visualize augmented information on top of them — this is what makes maps alive and useful. Simlabs direct experience here includes predicting the impact of disasters, traffic planning and visualization, flood modelling and prediction. Come and meet us, we can talk together about your specific case!
